Neighbor's is a beautiful place to gather your friends, co-workers, and loved ones for special events. We host all sorts of shindigs - from intimate birthday dinner parties and corporate gatherings to big blowout weddings! Whether you want to reserve a private dining room or throw a bash in the yard, we have all the information you need!

THE DINING ROOM

Our dining room is a great place to host a rehearsal dinner, baby shower, or birthday party. This intimate space can accommodate 40 guests.

The perfect space for a Spring or Fall gathering. This space can accommodate up to 80 guests.

Our amphitheater space is perfect for concerts, benefits, fundraisers, or big reunions. This space can accommodate up to 400.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE SPACE?

Exclusive use of the space and furniture. Wi-Fi is available during your event.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN FIT IN THE VENUE?

Our dining room can seat 40 people. Our patios can accommodate up to 80. Our Yard (amphitheater) can accommodate much larger groups.

WHAT FOOD IS AVAIlABLE?

We offer a private event menu. All food is setup buffet-style for parties over 20 people. Your menu must be finalized 7 days prior to your event. 

ARE TABLE and CHAIRS ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENT?

You are welcome to use our existing restaurant seating. We cannot move any furniture out of the space. We recommend using a third party to source additional chairs and tables for Yard events.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING UP and BREAKING DOWN RENTED TABLES and CHAIRS FOR MY YARD EVENT?

You, or your third party vendor, are responsible for the setup and removal of additional furniture by the agreed upon end of your event. We simply expect the restaurant to be returned to the way you found it.

CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL?

No. Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard carries a mixed beverage license. By law, no alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the property or taken from the premises.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

There is a City lot adjacent to the building. After 5PM, parking is available in the adjacent Wells Fargo lot. You can find parking throughout the historic downtown area. 

IS THERE LOADING and UNLOADING AREA?

Yes. All loading and unloading must be coordinated with our event coordinator.

IS THERE A SOUND SYSTEM AT NEIGHBOR’S?

Yes, we do have a sound system. If you would like background music other than our regularly scheduled playlist, please bring in your own speakers and music source. 

 

 

 

HOW LATE CAN MUSIC PLAY AT NEIGHBORS?

All outdoor amplified music must be completed by midnight.

CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN DECORATIONS?

You may bring in your own decor, such as floral arrangements, table linens, etc. But all decorations must be installed in a way that does not damage our facility – no staples, tacks, glue guns, or nails.

ARE CANDLES ALLOWED?

Yes, candles may be allowed upon our approval. Our building was built in 1918, so we have to be extra careful when it comes to open flames. All flames must be encased. Candles are never allowed in the restrooms. 

Can I bring my own CAKE?

Yes. You may bring in your own desserts. However, we do not have space to store these items. You are responsible for the preservation and presentation of desserts brought into the space.

HOW MANY BATHROOMS ARE ON SITE?

We have two bathrooms: one for men, one for women, each with 4 stalls. For Yard events, we can also discuss bringing in additional port-o-johns for an additional fee.

ARE THERE OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS NEARBY?

Yes, Neighbor's is located in Texas’ most historic small town, Downtown Bastrop. We are just 1 mile from many hotel and bed & breakfast options including: Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Quality Inn, and Pecan Street Inn. Hyatt Lost Pines Resort is located 8 miles west of Neighbor’s.

HOW DO I BOOK THE SPACE?

In order to book a date, a signed contract and deposit are required. This security deposit should be in the form of a check.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH RENTING THE SPACE?

20% Gratuity will be charged to all food and beverages served. We offer several other amenities at additional cost, such as security guards, music booking, bands, sound engineering, and port-o-johns.
