Wynn Taylor is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. Like many in his profession, he is the son of a preacher and of course, it goes without saying, this is how this life long musician got his start. In high school, Wynn earned both regional and national honors in voice. After graduation and finding college was not for him despite a vocal scholarship, Wynn kicked around in a few bands until joining the U.S. Army as a Calvary Scout. Serving in both Desert Shield & Desert Storm, Wynn is a proud U.S. Veteran.
Over the years, Wynn has opened for Guy Clark, Rhett Miller, Leon Russell, Hank Williams Jr's Bama Band, NRBQ, Band of Heathens, 2 Tons of Steel, Pinetop Perkins and one time he even sat in Elvis' car.
